In an area of 22 hectares, long ago belonging to the Quinta dos Marquises of Ponte de Lima, it functions as one of the most modern and sophisticated sport complex of the Iberian Peninsula.
Inaugurated in 28 of February of 1998, the Municipal Sport Park Engº Ministro dos Santos has the singular particularity to conjugate the most complete and sophisticated sport installations with the involving of a natural and historical park. From the old XVIII century Farm was preserved all green spot and the ways among the trees, as well as the old “Casas de Fresco”, local ways where the gentlemen then recouped of the long walks.
The Park includes a polisport pavilion with three multipurpose gymnasium and body building room, two covered swimming pools and one opened, a lawn stadium field and a track of athletics, field for football practise, three fields of tennis and four of mini tennis and two polisports.
A field of quoits, a circuit of maintenance and a traffic school for children also make part of the offer of the Park, which also allows roller-skating, walks and playful activities in the vast lawn areas.
